Willibald Pizza is a busy, high volume pizza shop located in Galt, Cambridge. Our program focuses on naturally fermented dough, premium ingredients, and a hybrid pizza style cooked in our deck ovens. We are committed to doing things properly, from long fermentation dough and house made elements to a tight, focused menu built around quality and consistency.
We are looking for a hard working and motivated cook to join our team in this full time position. We are seeking an experienced, passionate front of house assistant manager.
Duties & Requirements
- Assist in daily operations of all front of house related tasks and service, including working directly with our kitchen team.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in implementing strategies to enhance the guest experience and improve customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage restaurant budgets, including cost control, revenue generation, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
- Enforce restaurant policies and procedures, including those related to safety and hygiene.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality, with a proven track record of success.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering a memorable customer experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation:

Job Description:

- Providing enhanced product knowledge and product recommendations, including food and drink pairings
- Operating the cash register and processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Follow relevant Alcohol regulations in Ontario, including age verification, etc.
- Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with restocking as required
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the retail locations, including regular cleaning of displays and storage areas
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborating with team members to achieve sales goals, find procedural improvements and efficiencies and provide excellent customer service that is always improving
- Staying informed about current releases, special offers and new products to effectively promote sales in-line with company objectives
- Handling customer inquiries, complaints and returns professionally and promptly, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Based in Waterloo Region or surrounding areas
- Previous retail experience preferred, particularly in alcohol sales or a similar field

- Execute LCBO tastings, providing samples and effectively engaging with LCBO shoppers to promote the Willibald brand and products
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborating with team members to achieve sales goals, find procedural improvements and efficiencies and provide excellent customer service that is always improving
