Imperial Breakfast Stout with Lactose. Conditioned on Cacao & Coffee. 

Back in November our friends at Third Moon took it upon themselves (cued 👏) to coordinate the Breakfast Club - a coordinated release of breakfast-themed beers alongside a group of Ontario breweries with the goal of having a little extra fun this Feb. and answer the question: what do we want for breakfast? We of course felt obligated to create something a bit tongue-in-cheek.

RISE AND SHINE is based on the classic Finnish breakfast Blörö which traditionally consists of a cigarette, shot of vodka and a coffee - definitely the Monday morning wake-up remedy we need. To harness the true essence of a Blörö-powered morning, we added a pinch of smoked malt, coffee, cacao & lactose. The result is an extremely smooth stout with assertive notes of coffee and cacao, a balancing sweetness and the faintest hint of smoke (we didn’t want cocoa and coffee 🌭water on our hands).

The best part? A portion of the proceeds will be used to support our 2023 Community Fund partner The Cambridge Food Bank. In addition to this we will be running a food drive for the month of March but more info to come on that later because…
